  11.     I've gotten Amitcp-4.0 demo to run on my A1200 030/50 in the past.
  12. Then I saw something on Aminet called "slirp" that said it supported ppp..
  13. so I got the ppp evaluation version, and reconfigured AmiTCP to run with
  14. ppp. Didn't work. And Slirp was taking too much space. So I deleted it. but
  15. now, Amitcp doesn't work with tia anymore! I dunno what I am doing wrong.. I
  16. know I've gotten it to work.. I think (I can't really remember) that I just
  17. chose TIA setup, and then for host name I put alpha1 (my UNIX host) and I
  18. fill out all that crap correctly, but the thing just refuses to work now. I
  19. type "startnet" and everything seems to be working fine, but then when I go,
  20. say, "ping alpha1", I look at the modem, and the "send data" light goes on
  21. but no "receive" light. So I am assuming AmiTCP is sending weird packets
  22. that TIA isn't liking.

  27. Oh I also ran snoopdos and then did a startnet, and a few things failed:

  29. I don't have db/nologin and something else in db (neither were included in
  30. the archive)

  32. I don't have bsdsocket.library, and that isn't in the distribution archive,
  33. either. Where would I get that?

  36. Has anyone else had any problems like this?
